Don’t have tiny pots for transplanting individual seedlings? Can’t afford to buy some. Use banana leaves! We first saw this in Vietnam, but here is a film we shot in Indonesia showing pots made of banana leaves!

FILM CLIP: At Permaculture organisation, IDEP, near Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, PR person, Roberta Giovedi shows how to sow seeds and transplant seedlings into compost balls and home-made biodegradable banana leaf pots. It is not easy but here IDEP gardeners are doing it very well indeed.
