Perfect day to prune more this winter. Today was cutting large canes of some of the bougainvillias and the side shoots of passion fruits. The B will get better more concentrated flowers and the passion will keep on growing in the macadamia even higher and hopeful it will hide the passion fruit from a range of sp. of marauding birds.
With the winter rain falling regularly this year (here on 28.3 latitude south at sea level) some of our seeds are broadcasted over garden beds and edges of cultivated gardens. From there we thin the seedlings so it is our second selection. The first self selection was the seed that manage to make it without digging the soil or any care. As we do that every year even without much rain, what comes out is really strong generation. Selecting and gardening by neglect…. the busy person cup of tea hey.
The video posted is from Jude Fanton mum a very social person who had her own network of gardening friends. Sally died content last year a few months after the recording.
