Welcome to the new Seed Savers website!

Seed is the foundation of humanity’s evolution.
Cultivation of seed and planting material is the basis for our food systems:
in other words, seed saving is at the root of our capacity to thrive.

Please be aware that we are in development phase and will be launching new features & content over the coming  few weeks. You may have landed here because of a dead link on our old site so a big Welcome to our new one!

What’s New?

First and foremost we are happy to announce the launch of our fantastic new Local Seed Network system, (see here)

The new LSN system will facilitate communication between members to exchange seeds and ideas, coordinate meetups, interact with other seed savers in the forums or directly via the internal messaging system, share images and documents and soon you’ll be able list your seed varieties for sharing out to other Seed Savers.

Register as a Seed Saver today and start participating in the new Forums and join your Local Seed Network

To join or start your own Local Seed Network please hop over to the registration page

Troves of new information and resources are being uploaded to for you to read, watch, learn from and enjoy. Our New Shop has downloadable e-books, printed material and our re-authored “Our Seeds” documentary DVD, now with Spanish, French & English subtitles and a Pidgin english audio track for our friends in the Pacific
